Fine Antique English Porcelain has dated this Worcester Armorial Teacup Saucer to the Georgian era.
Painted with the crest of a stag trippant beneath the motto 'SPES NOSTRA DEUS', handsome gold foliate scrollwork borders reserved on a turquoise ground, further delicate gilding around below the rim of the cup and even to the underside of the rim of the saucer, the footrims also gilt saucer 14cm diam,impressed crowned BFB marks, saucer also with circular printed mark.
The arms of the company do not feature a stag but the association with leather might be noted.
