Early C19th late George III period mahogany canterbury of unusually rare narrow scale and proportions.
Raised on tall ring-turned supports fitted with lacquered brass castors , the unusual narrow rectangular 2-division ‘boat’ or navette-shaped body of restrained design with uncomplicated square section slats .The centre section having an integral cut-out carrying handle .
In excellent original condition with a rich , untouched colour and patina .
