Interesting 19thc Middle Eastern Silver Inlaid Copper Dish on three Brass Cabochon Feet.
A fine quality and heavily made antique Persian Islamic copper dish with silver inlay dating from the 19th century or earlier. The dish is mounted on three half round ball feet and is of round shape with a slightly raised fluted rim. The body of the dish is inlaid with silver Islamic script set within a stylized scrolling vine design within an inlay silver border around the outer rim. The dish is very heavy and is made in copper or possibly, based on the weight, made in bronze. The small feet are made in brass. The dish is not marked but an interesting item.
