This pair of Victorian burr walnut bedside chests were made circa 1870.

Each chest is fitted with 4 drawers, the top drawer that opens by pulling in the cup under and 3 further drawers under all fitted with turned knob handles.

Burr walnut is a stunning timber and provides so much interest to the overall look.

The chests stand on plinth bases.

These were formerly part of a large dressing table and have been made to fit in the modern home. Pairs of bedside cabinets were not made in the 19th century as they had a different lifestyle, cabinetmakers in the past found items that they could convert to meet the demand for bedside chests using/recycling redundant items into most useful pieces.

This enables you to have beautiful bedside chests made of high-quality timber and craftsmanship.
