Description

A 1949 Omega oversized stainless steel wristwatch. A silvered dial with a honeycomb or waffle type finish, which is rarely seen on watches of this size. Very rare hour marker variants, resembling a sarcophagus shape. Signed 'Swiss Made' below the subsidiary seconds dial. The hours and minutes are indicated by a variation of 'dauphine' hands.

A stainless steel case with a slight champfering of the lug edges. An original Omega winding crown. A snap on case back and shaped lugs. Case reference 2603 - 2.

The watch is powered by a 15 jewel caliber 265 Omega mechanism. Serial numbers date this watch to c1949.
