This fantastic Art Deco ring in 14-carat white gold is two for the price of one! One side is black onyx, with a diamond set at the centre of a concave oval facet, while the other is a rather fabulous lady carved in shell with a diamond necklace - a "habillé" cameo, where the portrait is "dressed" with jewellery.

The swivel mechanism is simple and effective and in good working order - the central plaque turns on a vertical pivot when you press gently on one side and clicks into place so it doesn't move about.

In excellent vintage condition.

There are no hallmarks (the back of the ring is worn smooth so it's possible it was originally here) but the ring tests as 14 carat gold.

Size: M (UK), approx 6 and a quarter (US).

The face of the ring measures approximately 1.3 x 2.1cm and the face of the ring sits around 7mm above the finger.

Weight: 5.2g.
