A good Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Indented Pottery Dish printed in a medium blue palette with the ''Alfred as a Minstrel'' pattern from the British History series produced by Jones & Son of Hanley, Staffordshire, { c. 1826 - 1828 }. The reverse with underglaze blue printed backstamp featuring Britannia and a young maiden, this enclosing the title, ALFRED AS A MINSTREL below the series title, BRITISH HISTORY, and above the Maker''s name, JONES & SON emblazoned on a shield. Miniscule frit at lower left.
