Good sized pair of early 19th.c. British oil painting portraits of a lady and gentleman c.1820. Half length portraits in matching poses with their arms folded. Interesting costume detail particularly the tall lace bonnet and collar worn by the lady. Painted in slightly naive style in oil on canvas. Some minor wear, presented as found in their original matching gilded gesso frames.
