Tunbridge Ware is a form of decoratively inlaid woodwork developed in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries using varied timber tesserae to form geometric patterns.

Craftsmen used natural, un-dyed woods such as boxwood, rosewood, walnut, yew, and holly, cutting thin mosaic strips and assembling them into intricate geometric parquetry or tessellated mosaics.
