Antique 19th Century Large French Roulette Wheel, Circa 1880 with the Original Felt Table Cloth

This impressive high quality large scale French roulette wheel is constructed in ebonised timber, possibly beech.

The mechanism is made of brass and rotates smoothly for a long period. It is operated by turning the handles on the top. The wheel is divided into brass pockets where the ball finally rests. Each one has a coloured black or red label for scoring.

Externally the wheel has decorative brass bands and ornate carrying handles and is raised onto impressive brass clawed feet.

A brass engraved maker's label is inlaid at the wheel's top, A. Boudet Avenue de La Gare 31 Nice (depose).

The original felt table cloth is also printed for scoring and placing bets.

All are in good condition.
