Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced during the Georgian and Victorian eras, Minton porcelain figurines typically depicted romanticised pastoral figures, classical subjects, or trade workers adorned with detailed hand-painted enamels and intricate scrolling bases inspired by Continental Rococo designs.

Craftsmen pressed soft-paste or bone china clay into plaster moulds, assembled the separate components by hand, fired the ceramic, and subsequently applied lead glazes, hand-painted enamel colours, and gilded details prior to secondary firings.

Authentic pieces often display impressed Minton maker marks or ermine marks on the underside, alongside characteristic pastel colour palettes, soft moulding details, and specific paint-stroke techniques typical of Staffordshire decorators from the period.

Position figurines symmetrically on a mantelpiece, display them within a glass-fronted cabinet, or curate them alongside modern art books on a console table to create visual contrast.

Dust figures gently with a soft dry brush, avoiding water or chemical detergents that could compromise delicate encrusted floral details, cold-painted areas, or fragile gilding.
