A William and Mary Period Oak Panelled Coffer

Description

A William and Mary Period oak panelled coffer. The hinged two plank top opening to reveal a storage area. The front with wonderful carved and sgraffito work to the frieze and initialled and dated E. S. 1694.

Having a further three panels to the front with similar carving and sgraffito work. Raised on stile feet and of pegged construction throughout. Wonderful colour and patina. English circa 1694

Dimensions: 50" wide x 19" deep x 27" high
