Curious Antiques has dated this Japanese Bronze Cloisonne Censer to the 19th Century.
The lid is topped with a large Kylin finial. The handles are highly stylised with temple lion masks and the four feet also terminate in Lion masks. The main body has two large panels , one depicting a large sailing boat with a smaller boat and the other a group of 3 figures under a tree. The base has character marks and the bronze has taken on great colour/patina following many years of use. Overall condition is very good with no obvious issues.
