Jamieson sold his pictures to wealthy tourists during the Victorian and Edwardian period. The Victorian Scottish highland loch painting depicts a derelict castle standing on top of a hill in the background. The artist has a good way of depicting the sun catching top of mountains, and showing still depth of the water, as the sun sets, with a fishing boat moored near the water�s edge.
