19thc Walnut Open Armchair with High Back

Description

Continental walnut open armchair with charming barley twist legs and stretchers with peg construction. The attractive barely twist front rail shows wear through the years. The solid seat is upholstered together with the gently sloping high back and pads to the arms. Early 19th century.

The chair is very sturdy and offers comfortable seating with the benefit of a slightly lower seat (44/45cms) good width and upholstered arms.

Measurements are: height 116cms, width 65cms, depth overall approx 70 cms (depth at base 51cms.
