Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Before 1700 period.
Egg-shaped bodies and a long, wide necks narrowing upwards, partially covered with a transparent glaze and decorated with a series of ancestors fiercely guarded the ashes. The previous owner drilled the vases from the bottom to make table lamps. I must admit that making a lamp from a funeral urn is a very strange decision.

The set includes special stands that are weighted with lead for stability. The Song Dynasty, which ruled from 960 to 1279 AD, is frequently regarded as one of the zeniths of Chinese civilization because of its enormous successes in the arts, sciences, and technology as well as its significant economic success. Just a few of these advancements included improvements in agriculture, development of moveable type, uses for gunpowder, invention of a mechanical clock, superior shipbuilding, the use of paper money, compass navigation, and porcelain production.
