1921 Hallmarked Solid Silver Leather Bound Glass Hip Flask James Dixon

Antique hallmarked silver and kid leather covered glass hip flask.
 
The leather is a good colour and in excellent condition.
 
Good size, it holds 2 1/2 fluid ounces so a good pocket size.
 
Made by James Dixon & Sons with the cap and cup both hallmarked in Sheffield with the date letter for 1920 on the flask and 1921 on the cup. Put together near the assay year change which is quite common.
 
It comes with a cork lined bayonet cap and removable cup.
 
Height 4 3/4 inches 12 cm
 
Width 2 2/8 inches 6 cm
 
Depth 7/8 inch 2.3 cm.
 
The condition is excellent and the flask is liquid tight with no leakage.
 
The leather is also excellent with no tears or splits.
 
You can see in the pictures it''s in excellent condition with very few signs of use.
 
It''s been cleaned and the cork has been replace to ensure it''s as hygienic as possible to use.
 
A lovely usable piece.
