A fabulous antique Art Deco pendant adorned with twinkling diamonds, five creamy pearls and two clear-blue aquamarines weighing approx. 0.80ct in the centre and 2.5ct on the dropper below.
Aquamarine and pearls are considered treasures of the ocean and were a popular combination, with their soft white and blue colouring complementing each other perfectly, evoking the calm and serenity of the sky and ocean.
The pendant is a union of platinum and 15ct yellow gold and has an unusual, open-work design with milgrain edging and slender bars curving toward three points at the top. It dates to the early-1920s and would look perfect on the end of a gold or silver chain.
