Edwardian Mahogany Demi-lune Hall Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

A good quality hall stand dating from the early 20th century. It is an attractive Demi-lune shape with three large hooks at the top. It has three splayed legs and a brass support for sticks and umbrellas. It is well made and a good quality piece with a nicely turned finial on the top and scrolling feet.

It is in good condition for its age and the mahogany has mellowed to a lovely warm patina over the years. There are signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental. There has been a repair to one leg but the whole piece is strong and sturdy and it displays well.
