Antique Silver Plated Brandy Warmer On Stand By Mappin Company C1880

This is a charming novelty antique silver plated brandy warmer on stand. Modelled as a cauldron. The tall stand has three twig branches that cross over at the top with a large ribbon & bow. Around the branches are entwined leaves grapes and vine. There is a hook dangling from inside where cauldron shaped sauce tureen dangles. The tureen has three spiked feet, round body and a lid with a ball finial. The swing handle has a circle that hooks onto the hook. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Mappin Company stamped underneath. This is sold in original plate with little wear.
