The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Layered gilt bands sandwiching the main design and further gilt to the foot rims, inner rims, and a feathered frieze inside both cups and feathers down the handles. The saucer marked with SPODE in black enamel, no pattern number and the cups are unmarked. c.1820.

The teacup measures 8.9cm (3.5") rim to rim and 6cm (2 3/8") high to the rim. The coffee cup measures 7.6cm (3") rim to rim and 6.5cm (2 8/16") high. The saucer is 13.7cm (3 5/8") wide.
In perfect condition with no damage or repair and no discernible handling wear to enamel or gilding.
