Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The cup is richly decorated with hand-painted flowers in shades of pink, red, purple, and yellow, all framed in gold gilt and features hand-painted floral garlands, gold wreaths, and purple ribbons and bows.
The cover is topped with a golden cherry and a couple of leaves.

The cup and saucer bear the blue underglaze Sèvres mark ‘Double-Louis’ with the letter ‘C’, dating them to 1755-1756. This piece is an extraordinarily delicate work, showcasing the artist’s skill in creating intricate floral compositions. The magnificent gilding and the use of gold paste for decoration are particularly noteworthy, reflecting the masterful craftsmanship.

Very good antique condition. Small crack on handle sustained during the firing process, not a break; slight loss of gilding.It is very difficult to find a coffee (or chocolate) cup with the lid still intact.
