H & R Daniel Porcelain Second Gadroon Pierced Pink Dessert Plate C.1825

A gorgeous Regency porcelain dessert plate by Henry and Richard Daniel in a variation of their ''second gadroon'' shape with gadrooned, shaped rim sections intersected with moulded scallop shells and swagged acanthus leaves with pierced detail. A striking bubblegum pink enamel ground with a gilt sawtooth edging to the central reserve, very beautifully painted with scattered garden flowers. Unmarked, c.1825.
 
Reference: H. & R. Daniel 1822-1846, Michael Berthoud, plate 19 shows another plate with this distinctive variation of the second gadroon shape.
 
It measures 22.2cm (8 3/4'') wide and 2.5cm (1'') high.
 
In excellent condition with no damage or repair. Very minor handling wear, just slightly to the gilt sawtooth and a few very tiny nick marks to the enamel.
