A Swansea porcelain London shape coffee cup and saucer decorated with the ''Parakeets In A Tree'' pattern painted in lovely bright enamels over a printed base design. The birds are sat in branches held captive with gilt chains and the pieces are finished with gilt rims and handle detail. The saucer with printed Swansea mark in red. c.1815.The cup measures 6.4cm (2 1/2'') high to the handle and 7.4cm (2 7/8'') rim to rim. The saucer measures 13.7cm (5 3/8'') wide. In very good condition with no damage or repair.
