The hand-painted porcelain captures every nuance, particularly the intricate ruffles of her outfit. The garment is painted in soft tones of yellow-gold, blue, tan, and white enamels, accented with gilt, gold buttons, and a brooch, giving it a natural and lifelike appearance.

The other bust depicts a handsome man with a large, elaborately designed hat featuring unique attachments. His face is animated with a jovial expression, adding charm to the piece.
During the 1870s, Stellmacher developed a new ceramic material known as ivory porcelain, characterized by its soft yellowish shade and matte finish. This innovative material enabled ceramists to achieve more complex modeling and intricate detailing in their designs.

Very good antique condition overall.

Lady - small enamel scratches which are only visible under UV light; small spot of overpainting on her clothing on the back; small chip on the plume; part of ribbon band is missing. Otherwise perfect antique condition.

Gentleman - small crack at the top of the hat.The figurine is in excellent antique condition.
