A fine Edwardian wine table by W Charles Tozer, 25 Brook Street, London W1 circa 1910. The company of W. Charles Tozer were one of the finest cabinetmakers specialising in the early Georgian / Queen Anne walnut revival furniture during the years 1900-1920. Bearing the W.Charles Tozer ivorine trade label and unusually made from solid yew wood this very stylish wine table is in superb condition with just an old small almost indiscernible repair, beautifully figured with no staining retaining a good patina. Dished solid one piece yew wood top supported on baluster turned column terminating in three hipped cabriole legs to pad foot. This handsome piece from the Edwardian interior is the provenance this is from the deceased estate of Bernard Cornwall better know as the late Great author JOHN LE CARRE. Stylish and ready to grace another now interior this well loved can be viewed at our showroom.
