Description

A fine large Victorian shell cameo brooch with a lovely sensitively carved and realistic portrait of a right-facing male. The rosy gold frame is beautifully chased with a scrolling foliate design typical of the 1880s and stamped AI 9CT on the back. The cameo itself is indistinctly signed on the reverse.

In excellent antique condition.

Size: 4.5 x 3.8cm.
