£1,100    $1,444    €1,314
Watercolour signed by the artist and framed with a high-quality classic gold frame.

Henry John Kinnaird was born in 1861 in Old Church, St Pancras. In 1880, he was living in the Camden Town area of London and exhibited a number of works at the Royal Academy. By 1887, he had moved to Chingford in Essex, and by 1908 he had made the move to Sussex where he lived in Arundel before finally settling in Ringmer near Lewes. He died at Old Cottage, Ringmer in 1929. He was primarily a landscape, river and rural scene painter, often of the South of England. He painted mostly in watercolour and oils. He painted in a broad, naturalistic style similar at times to the artist John Horace Hooper. Later on in life, he became much well known as a watercolour artist.

He exhibited regularly in London, particularly with The Royal Academy. He also exhibited at The Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
