Description

A French gilt bronze mantel clock. A well detailed classical Roman philosopher with a scroll. The case has nicely detailed foliage beneath the seated figure and to the case front. An enamel dial with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1880.

Height 16 1/2" / 42 cms Width 16 " / 41 cms Depth 6 1/2 " / 16 cms.
