Cased 4 Piece Silver Christening Set Birmingham 1956/57 By Sanders & Mackenzie

A delightful solid silver 4 piece christening / new baby set comprising of egg cup, spoon, napkin ring and tankard in original case. All of the items are a lovely plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing. Hallmarks are visible on the egg cup, spoon and tankard for 1957 and the napkin ring for 1956 Birmingham Assay Office. The silversmith''s maker''s mark for Sanders & Mackenzie of Spencer Street Birmingham is impressed on each item.
The set comes in the original black leatherette case with gilded decoration to the lid. The interior is lined with black velvet and cream satin.
Condition: All the items included in the set are in super condition. The original box is also in great vintage condition.
Measurements: Spoon length 11.2cm Napkin ring: Diameter: 4.5 cm Width 2 cm. Egg cup: Height 5.4cm Bowl diameter 4.7cm. Tankard Height 8cm Diamenter at base 4.8cm Diameter at rim 6.5cm Combined weight of silver: 108 grams.
