Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The sloping and the concave rim decorated with alternating panels of rising flowers and leaves, surround a centre painted with a scene of a song bird, perched on a tree stump, amongst flowers, about which a butterfly hovers. The rear of the dish with alternating star and oval decorations, surrounding a small foot rim.
The attractive dish in very good condition.
Date circa 1720.
