Description

This tall and rather unusual silver photo frame is dated Birmingham 1919 and bears the marks of the reputed silversmiths Charles S. Green & Co. Of oval form, the simple and elegant silver frame resting on ball feet, an unusual and rather charming detail. Pale oak back and easel.

Hallmarks:

CSG&Co for Charles S Green & Co Ltd.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "u" for 1919.

Dimensions:

Height: 20cm / 8 inches.

Maximum width: 13cm / 5 inches.

Aperture:

Height: 17cm / 6.5 inches.

Width: 10.5cm / 4 inches.

Condition:

Good.

A little surface wear, commensurate with age

Good set of marks.

Original solid wood back.
