An ideal Victorian period hall, console table .
This rare table is in superb original condition featuring its original lightly faded Mahogany colour and beautiful French polished finish.
The table features a pitched rear up-stand with moulded edges, complete with its lovely applied centre shield which all sits above its lovely solid Mahogany single plank top with a moulded edge. Below the top is its lovely frieze featuring a simple centre corbel with a moulded edge below to its ornate fretwork skirt. On the right side of the table is a hidden quality dovetailed drawer, ideal for even quite narrow hallways as the drawer opens to the side. The table stands on elegantly turned legs which feature the most stunning spirals carved into the legs and simple ball carvings to the top of the leg.
This table is in excellent condition throughout, has been cleaned & waxed and is ready to go straight into the home. The lovely table has a wide array of different uses either as a serving table, hall/console table or even as a sofa table. The table is sturdy joints are all tight and is free from joint movement or wobbles.
This item is in superb condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches, dents and old repairs. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character.
