A beautiful antique Victorian ruby and diamond carved half-hoop ring set with five gorgeous cushion-cut rubies and ten twinkling diamonds nestled in between. The rubies graduate in size from 0.10 – 0.35ct in the centre (approx. 1.25ct total) and have all been certified as natural with no signs of heat treatment.
The centre three stones have a vivid, hot-pink colouring that is characteristic of Burmese rubies which are the rarest and finest in the world. The two outer rubies have a deeper cherry-pink hue which is more common in Thailand or East Africa. This is all detailed in a gem certification that accompanies the piece.
Ruby is the birthstone of July and has long been associated with the heart due to its fiery pink/ red colouring which is symbolic of passion. It’s said to bring good fortune in love and provide long-lasting happiness and vitality to any relationship.
The stones are set in an ornate 18ct gold gallery with scrolling motifs engraved down the sides and shoulders. It’s a rare and highly sought-after antique find boasting five exceptional rubies that look stunning spread over the finger.
