Victorian Rosewood Vaniety Box.
An extraordinary rosewood Vanity box dating back to c.1860.
The box is in a magnificent piece of rosewood featuring a beautifully engraved brass escutcheon to the top and key complete with a working lock and tasselled key. Internally there is a range of original crystal glass pots and jars two with their own silver plated fitted top or cover. There is a full size mirror fitted in the lid which is also in good condition for its age.
The back of the inside lid features the original red velvet, we have relined the tray with a red handcrafted marble paper that matches the interior perfectly.
To access the front drawer push the button at the back of the inside lid.
The original fitted jewellery drawer features four sections in the original maroon satin.
Superb quality and condition measuring 31.5 x 23 and stands 18cm high.
