Constructed from walnut, these armchairs are based on the most desirable early Georgian and Queen Anne chairs exhibiting the characteristic vase-shaped splat alongside elegant cabriole legs terminating in lion’s paw feet. Unusually, these armchairs exhibit anthropomorphic grotesque features on the knees as well as the terminals of the armrests, instead of the more common shell and foliate motifs. With drop-in needlepoint seats.
