An Attractive Silver & Garnet Drop Brooch

1900 - 1920
Description

An attractive silver brooch, dating to late in Queen Victoria's reign. The body of the brooch is set with clear cut paste stones, which sparkle in the light. There is a centrally mounted facet cut Garnet, set within a rope twist setting. Below are four drop settings, each with facet cut Garnets, again set in rope twist settings which delightfully echo the main stone. The brooch is secured via a hinged pin and C clasp. A lovely, usable example with a nice movement when being worn. Dimensions below.
