This pair of George I silver sugar tongs were made C1720 by Charles Hatfield and measure 4 3/8 inches in length, they have the initials S.H.S.C engraved to one arm and they bear the makers mark to the outside of one of the bowls, they have an acorn finial to the top and are in very good condition.
