The proportion of this box is unusually larger than most pocket snuff boxes of similar designs making it an impressive and tangibly hefty box to hold in hand. The corners are curved and the side/walls of the box are concaved making for a stylish and ergonomic fit as well as ease of opening.
The interior of the box is fully gilt (gold on top of solid silver) which presents a nice contrast to the modest silver exterior whilst also adding a layer of protection from the silver oxidising with the contents held within.
Owing to its impressive proportions, this box is perfect whether for a collection display or to use practically to store ample amounts of snuff or small consumables such as sweets, mints or even pills. The length is long enough to even fit cigarettes/short cigarillos inside.
A full set of English hallmarks are present on the interior base with matching marks on the lid.

CONDITION
Good Condition - The snuff box is in good overall condition without major damage issues considering its age. The corners/edges of the box have some indentation as shown in the image and surface wear is present commensurate with age, however, the engine turning remains in good order. The box's hinge and closure are good with a nice tight fit.
