ANTIQUE #SA1073358

A Rare Walnut Antiquarian Centre Table By Johnstone & Jeanes, 67 New Bond Street, London, C.1840

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Jeckyll & Co

A classy table from a firm who designed and made the famous ''Jupe'' radially extending circular dining table. Fully stamped to the underside with maker''s details and number, which probably relates to a client of the firm. In the later decades of the 19th century Johnstone & Jeanes supplied furniture to Queen Victoria at Buckingham Palace.

Unrestored country house condition. Surface fading, a few spots of historic worm (image 6) and lacking one finial, the frame is structurally sound and tight.

I can have the table restored if required at a cost of £200.
