Description

A Set of Five 18th Century Delft Vases.

The garniture comprising three baluster vases and a pair of trumpet vases. Each vase with an outswept rim, over the octagonal bodies. The bodies tapering and thence spreading to a rounded foot rim. The vases decorated with raised relief scrolled reserves, finished to the top and bottom of the reserve by rocaille. The reserves edged with emerging flowers and ferns, and filled with vibrant scenes of flowers and willow trees growing in a rising rock garden. The slightly inverted domed bases with makers marks for ONBEKEND DE CLAUW.

Date circa 1750.
