This is a superb antique Victorian silver biscuit barrel/box/caddy measuring 7 1/2'' (19 cms) tall to the lid x 8'' (20 cms) across x 6'' (15 cms) and dating to around the 1880''s.
It has the makers mark for Philip Ashberry & Sons who become ''& Sons'' in 1856.
It''s in super condition and perfectly usable today.
It has lovely engraved decoration with a bone pull, sits on four pierced feet and has no inscriptions or monograms.
