A fine Black Forest carved wood box c.1860, of oval form carved with foliate decoration around the body, it has a rear hinged lid with a carved diaper border, topped with a fox dashing past a tree stump. This charming carved wood box has been well loved with some wear to the points of the leaf on the lid and a small loss to the underside of the back of the lid, it comes without a key and measures 7 ½ inches in length.
