Very attractive antique 18th century Dutch tin glazed Delft charger. Painted in blue with a central bird, surrounded by flowers and foliage. The charger has a wavy edge rim. The back with rim decoration and a hanging loop hole. A makers mark of LP Kan for De Lampetkan a Dutch factory that began production in 1609 and was sold in 1811.
Condition
It rings beautifully, so no signs of cracks. Small chip to rim and some edge paint loss which is typical with tin-glazed wares. Minor wear to back.
