Description

Very attractive mahogany serpentine chest of drawers c.1880. Flame mahogany veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern on the top with serpentine shaped and deep moulded edges. Over four long drawers of graduated height with shaped drawer fronts also veneered in flame mahogany with mother of pearl escutcheons. Fitted interior to the top drawer featuring two compartments with sliding lids and four small drawers in the centre. Scroll carved pilasters to the projecting front corners either side of the drawers, the carving continues on the front feet. Highly figured mahogany veneers to the sides and oak drawer linings. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied (bottom lock not working).
