This is a good quality antique English Georgian mahogany armchair / carver, from the late George IV period, circa 1830, ideal as an office / desk / occasional chair, with an upholstered seat, in excellent original condition. This strong and heavy chair is designed with an attractive splayed bar back decorated with a pierced fretwork section below, flanked by moulded stiles, secured to down swept arms on turned supports. The seat frame is raised on ring turned front legs, with sabre legs to the rear. The drop-in seat is upholstered in a pale red draylon upholstery. If you do not like the fabric, we charge £25 labour to re-cover the seat in a fabric of your choice. The existing upholstery is clean and free from wear and marks. This Georgian mahogany armchair boasts the original polish; therefore, it has a good depth of colour and patination, displaying a lovely mellow brown colour.
This Georgian mahogany armchair, would look good anywhere, in either a traditional or contemporary setting, for formal or everyday use, as an occasional, office, desk or dining chair. It would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional.

... an upholstered seat, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair but nothing significant considering their age. The Georgian mahogany carver has been glued solid in joint and the chair frame has been French polished in our workshop by hand, to a professional standard, therefore, the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The seat is upholstered in a pale red draylon upholstery. If you do not like the fabric, we charge £25 labour to re-cover the seat in a fabric of your choice. The existing upholstery is clean and free from wear and marks. This Georgian mahogany chair is solid in joint and ready to be used.
