A Baccarat Decanter in the Juvisy pattern. Juvisy is a very old pattern and dates to 1867. In 1899 it was chosen to be the official suite at the Elysee Palace and the Palace of Versaille (Juvisy can be seen adorning the dining table at Versaille on the occasion of the recent visit by King Charles). Juvisy decanters are very rare in themselves but to find one in this condition is remarkable. We believe it dates from the early 1900s and it appears to have very little use and has no internal marking and has therefore great clarity. It is an outstandingly beautiful piece.
