The dogs in a Tudor room, with an arched chimney piece on which are sets of bowls and wine bottles. The lid of the box opening to an interior of a central lift out tray decorated with a Basset and Terrier in a kennel, surrounded by four lift out boxes, each slightly domed and decorated with a pair of Terriers chasing a rat, a Spaniel sitting on a velvet cushion, a long haired Labrador sitting on a quayside, and a Collie with pups clambering on a flooded kennel. the interior of the lid lined in quilted silk, the box and boxes lined with scarlet paper.
