Antique Longines wrist watch, 1916.
The watch has a 15-jewel Longines calibre 13.34 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed B&Co for Baume & Co, importers of Longines watches to the UK and the Commonwealth.
The watch 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the articulated lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the screw-on case back for London 1916 with a sponsor’s mark for Arthur Baume, of Baume and Co. The case is in good condition, just general light marking and a slight indentation to the back, nothing serious at all.
The replacement acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial has some old damage on number 10. Other than that, it is in good condition.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
NB: Where we have specified a year of manufacture, this is based on hallmarks or serial numbers with published databases. The ''date of manufacture'' given by SellingAntiques will vary slightly as the website only works to decades, not specific years.
