Description

An early portrait miniature (c.1790) of a young gentleman in a coat and waistcoat. The portrait is set in an oval gilt frame inset in a border of blue enamel decorated with gold stars (it measures 4cm x 3.2cm). The miniature is painted in watercolour on ivory and the reverse is set with woven hair. It is in good condition.

Please forgive some light reflection in some of the images. The oval box is not included.
